News Flash   Reliance Industries rose 3.04% to Rs 814.10 on BSE, with the stock extending two-day 2.47% gains triggered by the company announcing share buyback schedule early this week.        Ponni Sugars (Erode) rose 2.35% to Rs 87 at 15:04 IST on BSE after net profit jumped 104.9% to Rs 8.26 crore on 3.6% growth in gross sales to Rs 99.64 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Jay Shree Tea & Industries lost 1.82% to Rs 99.70 at 14:25 IST on BSE after net profit declined 96.7% to Rs 0.65 crore on 31.5% growth in net sales to Rs 166.86 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Bank of India jumped 4.59% at Rs 357.70 at 13:47 IST on BSE after net profit rose 9.64% to Rs 716.15 crore on 30.85% increase in total income to Rs 8002.27 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Canara Bank lost 3.21% to Rs 464.55 at 13:42 IST on BSE after net profit fell 20.8% to Rs 875.56 crore on 33.3% growth in total income to Rs 8591.15 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Claris Lifesciences, Videocon Industries, L&T Finance Holdings and Standard Chartered PLC are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 27 January 2012.         Petronet LNG rose 1.59% to Rs 166.50 at 12:28 IST on BSE after net profit surged 72.8% to Rs 295.38 crore on 74.5% growth in net sales to Rs 6330.25 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Shares of ten metal and mining firms rose by 0.70% to 5.97% at 11:55 IST on BSE as LMEX, a gauge of six metals traded on the London Metal Exchange gained 2.37% to 3,776.90 on Thursday, 26 January 2012.        Muthoot Capital Services rose 3.11% to Rs 76.25 at 11:54 IST on BSE after net profit rose 46.1% to Rs 3.39 crore on 67.6% growth in total income to Rs 16.68 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.        Suzlon Energy rose 2.57% to Rs 27.95 at 11:21 IST on BSE, extending Wednesday's 2.8% gains triggered by the company's subsidiary REpower Systems SE concluding a contract for the delivery of 25 wind turbines of the MM92 type with US developer enXco.
